DESCRIPTION:Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is “offering reporting grants to journalists from Mekong countries to support the production of in-depth stories on inclusive water governance in the Mekong Region. \n“For this grant opportunity\, we are looking for pitches for in-depth stories with the use of multimedia tools such as satellite data\, GIS\, data visualization\, photography and video\, as well as collaborative\, cross-border or investigative reporting approaches to strengthen and deepen coverage. \n“In addition to funding\, selected journalists will receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced journalists and EJN’s Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) specialist as a co-mentor through the story production process. \n“This grant will be reserved for applicants from and covering Mekong countries: Cambodia\, Myanmar\, Laos\, Thailand and/or Vietnam. … Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online\, print\, television\, radio) and other expert media practitioners with professional reporting experience. \n“We expect to award 13 grants of up to 2\,000 USD each.”

DESCRIPTION:“The Ocean Nexus International Fellowship is a program for journalists created by Ocean Nexus in collaboration with the Uproot Project\, seeking to advance transformative changes at the intersection of ocean governance\, social justice\, and equity. Participating journalists\, working closely with Ocean Nexus scientists\, aim to deepen their understanding of how our relationship with the ocean is intertwined with systemic inequities\, particularly within historically marginalized communities\, across the globe. As a part of the fellowship\, fellows produce resource guides that will help other journalists understand the topics they covered and help expand the body of knowledge about ocean equity.” \nThe three-month fellowship (June-August 2026) is for non-US journalists who are members of Uproot (free to join) or one of its partners and includes a $2\,000 stipend.
