National Press Foundation Awards

The National Press Foundation awards are open to journalists across the media spectrum. Winners will receive cash prizes and are honored at the NPF Journalism Awards Dinner. The awards have different criteria. Includes the AARP Award for Excellence in Journalism on Aging, with two $5,000 prizes — large media outlet and small or regional outlet; the Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health Reporting ($10,000); Thomas L. Stokes Award for Energy and Environment Journalism ($2,500); and more. Deadlines vary.
