“NIHCM Foundation supports health reporting and education projects for journalists that have the potential to inform managed care organizations, policymakers, health care consumers, and related stakeholders to improve the affordability and quality of U.S. health care, as well as raise awareness about health issues in ways that improve health and health care.
“As part of our long-standing commitment to supporting the work of journalists covering health, NIHCM Foundation provides up to $500,000 in grants for reporting or educating journalists.”
Grants are available for:
- Health reporting by national or local, digital or broadcast media, nonprofit or for-profit media organizations, and freelancers
- Education for journalists
- Visual storytelling (graphics, short videos)
- Documentary film public engagement campaigns
