“The Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute invites proposals from individuals and organizations who wish to partner with us on practical innovative projects for community centered news, journalists, and the communities they serve.” Over the course of an eight-month fellowship, fellows build free, accessible, open-source projects to serve newsrooms and audiences. The program supports one full-time residential fellow (an individual who will work on-site in Columbia, Missouri) and remote part-time fellows. The 2025 program will begin accepting applications on December 2, 2024, and fellowships will start on July 1, 2025. Applications for the residential fellowship close on February 4, 2025; for remote fellowships, the deadline is February 7.
