Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism

Summary:

The Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism support journalists in pursuing innovative mental health journalism projects of their choice during a nonresidential, year-long fellowship. The fellowships challenge recipients to delve deeper into learning about mental health and substance use disorders and to share reliable information with the public about behavioral health issues. Each year, eight U.S. journalists are selected and awarded stipends of $10,000 each to cover fellowship project expenses. Selected international journalists from Latin America, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates are awarded a comparable stipend. Fellows receive virtual training on effective behavioral health reporting from past fellows and advisors. The deadline for applications for the 2024-2025 fellowships is April 12, 2024.
