“Bay Nature (baynature.org) has a reporting fellowship for someone seeking reporting and writing experience covering the environment and climate change in the San Francisco Bay Area.

“For this full-time, one-year fellowship, you’ll further develop your general reporting and writing, data reporting, magazine fact-checking, and WordPress skills, as well as learn about and spend time in the natural and human-built landscapes of the Bay Area. A key focus will be climate change science and adaptation. You’ll leave your year here with a range of published articles—from short news pieces to long enterprise features—and with contacts, insight, and experience that will prepare you to continue to report and write about the environment.

“The one-year position pays $50,000 for the year with health benefits, paid vacation, and sick leave. This is not a remote position. It is full-time and requires two days a week, 9 am to 5 pm, in the Bay Nature office in West Berkeley.”
