“The Support for Independent Journalism and the Fight against Disinformation project, funded by the European Union, launches a regional fund for the production of eight Solutions Journalism proposals in Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.

“The selected proposals will receive funding of up to 3,000 euros. In addition, its authors will participate in a virtual workshop given by an accredited journalist in Solutions Journalism and will have specialized mentoring to guarantee rigor in the production of the pieces in the contemplated period of three months.

“The call aims to support narratives aimed at having the same rigor as traditional journalism how people and communities are responding to complex social problems related to local governance and accountability, human rights and access to services, environment and climate change, protection of wildlife and biodiversity, local economies and sustainability, human mobility and social cohesion, and security and social fabric, among other issues.”
