“EJN is hosting three-day virtual media workshops in February-March 2027 for journalists in Ghana, Mexico and the Philippines to strengthen their knowledge of the 30×30 marine conservation target and initiatives being implemented to reach it.
“Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio), journalistic content creators/influencers with an active presence on one or more prominent social media platforms, and other media practitioners with experience covering ocean issues.
“The workshops will take place virtually on Zoom for three consecutive days. The Ghana workshop will be held in the week of February 15, the Mexico workshop in the week of February 22 and the Philippines workshop in the week of March 1.
“Information on story grants: EJN seeks to award up to 35 grants of $1,500 USD each to journalists and social media content creators to support in-depth reporting on the commitments made by governments related to 30×30 as well as initiatives that could help countries meet these commitments. Applications from workshop participants will receive special consideration.”
