Held in Turkey from November 9 to 20, COP31 will test the power of a potential economic superpower, the 80-plus countries in the ‘coalition of the willing’ that was established in Santa Marta, Colombia, earlier this year that is refusing to allow petro-states to continue vetoing a global phase out of fossil fuels. COP31 also takes place days after US elections that nonpartisan experts project will cost President Donald Trump his rubber-stamp control of the US Congress.
“As journalists prepare to cover COP31, whether on site or remotely, hear and discuss the key issues and controversies and how to tell the story so it lands with your audience.”
