“For SEJ2027, we’re heading to Kjipuktuk, Mi’kma’ki [Halifax, Nova Scotia], to continue building the connections, context and collaboration that define environmental journalism around the globe today.
“On a changing planet, there are lessons and new perspectives to be found in every community. In Halifax, we’ll gather once again, this time on Mi’kmaq territory, to celebrate, learn and refuel for the work ahead.
“The idea that environmental reporting must be both local and global lies at the heart of SEJ2027. … From the shores of the Atlantic, we’ll gather to celebrate indigeneity, ancient teachings and eco-knowledge, and the stories and ideas shaping a hopeful future for environmental reporting from around the world.”
The conference is open to both members and nonmembers.
