“The Balkan Network of Science Journalists is organizing a small, one-day seminar in Prishtina, Kosovo, this year on 25 September 2026. It’s the fourth in a series of events supported by EurekAlert! The concept is described here.
“We would like to invite EFSJ members who are interested in the Balkan and/or East European region to apply for one of the travel grants (worth 300 euros) and participate in the seminar.

“We would like to invite practicing/active science journalists who are keen to exchange knowledge and ideas during the seminar, and can both benefit from the seminar and contribute to it.
“We will give preference to active science journalists and people who can most relevantly contribute to the programme, so the assessment will be based on the needs of, and fit with, the programme, which is expected to discuss craft of feature writing, current issues in TV journalism, challenges of AI and investigative journalism; opportunities for cross-border cooperation; gender equality, renewable energy, and migration as a science story.
