The AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Awards honor professional journalists worldwide for distinguished reporting on the sciences, engineering, and mathematics. The contest year is from July 16, 2023 to July 15, 2024. The entry deadline is August 1, 2024.
Categories include Science Reporting – Large Outlet; Science Reporting – Small Outlet; Science Reporting – In Depth; Magazine; Video In-Depth Reporting; Video Spot News/Feature Reporting; Audio; and Children’s Science News.
In each category, there are two awards: Gold, with a prize of $5,000, and Silver, with a prize of $3,500. The awards are presented each year at the AAAS Annual Meeting in February.
