Summary:

"Journalismfund Europe is a Belgian-registered independent non-profit-making intermediary organisation that has its origins in the Pascal Decroos Fund for Investigative Journalism." Various calls are issued each year. In 2027, there are two application deadlines: January 7 and March 11. The 2026 grants include:

  • Environmental Investigative Journalism: €400,000 per call. Deadlines: Jan. 22, April 23 and Aug. 6, 2026.
  • Professional Development for Environmental Journalism: €75,000 per call. Deadlines: Jan. 22, April 23 and Aug. 20, 2026. €65,000
  • FPD Science: €65,000 per call. Deadlines: Jan. 22 and April 23, 2026.
  • European Cross-Border: €280,000 per call. Deadlines: March 19, May 21, July 30 and October 1, 2026.
